Look back on Multimodal Expo 2024: A Spectacular Success!
It has been just over a month since we last attended Multimodal 2024. Here is a recap of the event for Route 1 Group.
Since 2008, Multimodal has created exciting networking opportunities for the logistics and freight industry, firmly set in most people’s annual diaries. From the Multimodal Awards to mixer events, seminars, and the trade show itself, where we had a stand for the first time, we were positioned within the UKWA pavilion as members of this trade body. The event saw SMEs, global brands, and all the industries involved in the supply chain come together to create a comprehensive mix of exhibitors, speakers, and attendees. This broad matrix of interest breeds innovation and collaboration, and we were thrilled to be part of it—not just meeting new contacts and opening sales opportunities but also learning about the challenges facing logistics on a global scale, exploring the latest tech solutions, and meeting like-minded people within our ever-growing sector.
As this year marked our first time exhibiting at the Multimodal Expo in Birmingham, it was a really special and busy event for us, and it was an experience to remember. Here are some highlights from the event:
Royal Visit
We were honoured by a visit from HRH The Princess Royal, who added a touch of royal elegance to the proceedings.
Celebrating Excellence
The awards night, hosted by football legend Kevin Keegan, was a standout event. Eight hundred eighty guests gathered to celebrate industry excellence, and the night was filled with recognition, applause, and inspiration.
Networking at its Best
The Multimodal Mixer, hosted by DP World, was a fantastic opportunity for attendees to connect and network. It was the perfect setting for building new relationships and strengthening existing ones.
Insightful Conferences
This year’s expo featured free-to-attend supply chain conference streams focused on sustainability, resilience, technology, and people. These sessions, led by some of the industry’s top experts, provided invaluable insights.
Informative Sessions
Presentations from Logistics UK, IOE&IT, RFG, BIFA, UKWA, and Google Digital Garage were packed with valuable information. These sessions were a treasure trove of knowledge, covering the latest trends and developments in the logistics and supply chain industry.
